Are my autistic?

Hi Connor. I am not sure how old you are, but generally the older you are youngsters have better results from just sitting their parents down and talking out their concerns. It also helps if you come prepared with a list of reasons why you suspect you are autistic yourself and have a handful of good reliable resources to point your parents towards if they have any questions or worries.

Oh and btw, after a certain age you can ask your GP to refer you without your family's input. Check out Gillick competence and the UK law on that. It's a little different in England vs the rest of the UK, but I had my own solicitor under Scottish law as young as 12 yrs old, just as an example for how it can vary, so if your family aren't receptive and you really want to follow the route of official diagnosis anyway there should still be paths open to you, you just need to do a bit of research. Not being %100 on English law I will just tag the lovely Clare Mod and see if Clare has some resources specific to your particular situation.
