I refer to it as "play", for want of a better term. A friend of mine and I engage frequently in a communication exchange (text) that appears to be similar to children's role play, though without the active element.
I can see it potentially relating to abstract thinking and creative problem solving in this "play", though I'm currently making assumptions.
I am curious to know if what I refer to as "play" actually has a name, what it's purpose is, and if it relates at all to autism, or not.
