I honestly can't imagine how you'd actually die from that. I remember a professional cyclist last year having to abandon a race because he nailed himself in the eye when he was popping the champagne after a win.

That sounds nasty. When I was 15 I poured bleach in my left eye and that hurt can't imagine having a champagne cork in my eye. Ouch.
