I’m in a situation where I had to leave a job that I’d been in for just over a year last week, as it became too much, as I’d not been able to find any sources of support, yet in claiming universal Credit, I’m worried about sanctions for leaving, even though it was mutually agreed with HR that I should leave in order to find appropriate adult support, as I’d be more likely to find support if not working - I’d still not had a proper post diagnostic assessment to properly and accurately determine my level of autism and any supports required, as initially after diagnosis, I’d come back to the workplace too soon after (online) diagnosis without proper workplace supports in place, made even more important both because of the online nature of the diagnosis and of my living alone, which my family in Ireland disapprove of even more in the light of my diagnosis, which they “encouraged” me to get in 2019 (now at age 52) and am coming under considerable pressure from them, as they want an intervention team to come in and take complete control and are insisting on a live in carer or long term residential placement
