Star Wars IV-VI (the originals!)...I had all the toys too. Loved it. I'm 47 and still dream of being a Jedi knight. Beats reality
Would Ewoks be considered pets? 
I think they're too independent, yet I can't see society accepting them as equal beings, unfortunately
