Recommendations for self help books

Hi I am looking for recommendations for any self help books or resources people have found useful particularly about self acceptance, obviously especially with being a bit autistic in mind and post diagnosis after really fighting against and denying it for a long time.

  • Oddly, I’ve found several writers from mid last century helpful. Orwell’s essays and Erich Fromm. Chestertons columns are quite good when he makes distinctions between things.

These don’t deal specifically with autism, but I can’t help but think Orwell was autistic. There is a good amount of wisdom and matters of just being human in all their work, much of what seems to me to be very reliable “autistic” values.
