Its taken over EIGHT YEARS to get my adult autism assessment through the NHS

First started with a doctors referral when i lived in a different county. Moved 6 years ago to another county and was told it would now be with their service. Finally its happening this week! Honestly would have been easier to give up and make do... but not best.
Anyone officially waited longer?

Sorry to hear you have had to wait such a long time, I wish I had an answer for you, but I received my diagnosis in childhood and the whole process was pretty much conducted behind my back so I don't know how long it took for me. Glad to read it should be happening for you this week. How are you feeling about it?

Good luck with assessment. I'm so sorry you have had to wait this long. It's not acceptable. I have heard of people being given a 5 to 7 year wait.

Yup, still waiting.. NHS is a bummer. But can't afford private. The conditions has literally paralysed me and incapable of functioning atm.
