personal assistant

hi all, does anyone here have a personal assistant to help them with either mental health or autism support.  ive been offered one but am unsure.  im not great with letting strangers into my home but im unable to cope going out alone.

  • Well think of them like a personal secretary. All the stressful phone calls, handling your calendar, quite a lot of your difficult paperwork. A lot of it they can do for you. The rest they can help you with.

they can accompany you places to take notes for you or just so you have someone to speak for you if you freeze under stress.

that’s what a PA in business might do for you. In your case I think it might also involve some domestic assistance? Housework type stuff. I wouldn’t know.

  • Perhaps you could make a list of things you WANT the personal assistant to help you with (if they can.)

When you have the list, perhaps you could give a copy to the people who are offering the assistant.

That way, you can both be more sure of how it could work well for everyone.

    Just an idea.

    Best wishes - Number.
