Getting diagnosis for 17 year old and help in writing a book about Autism

Hi,

I am a parent of 4 and 2 of our children have a diagnosis of ASD.

We have a son who is 17  and is on a waiting list via NHS for a test/diagnosis to see if he's also on the spectrum, as he shows a lot of the traits and it's affecting his everyday life.

Does anyone know of any other quicker routes for a diagnosis, whether private or other? Would appreciate any replies/feedback.

I am also trying to get a book published about my autistic daughter who is 19 - the difficulties we have experienced on our journey, the lack of proper support/understanding, the bad things that have happened .etc. I would like to be able to reach out to someone who could help edit it and present it in a more professional way, and ideally, connect to a publishing and audiobook company.

Many thanks,

Dawn
