  • Depends what you mean by night walking.

I once lived in a shared house where the woman in the next room was a free spirit who enjoyed night walks in her bare feet.  Once she was knocking at my door at 3am asking for cotton wool, plasters and Dettol because her feet were cut up and bleeding from bare feet night walking.

  • I've lived barefoot for six years and have never cut my foot to the extent of needing assistance. Dettol slows healing so I don't use it. Plasters are useless on the sole of the foot as they fall off. Why wouldn't she just deal with it in her own room?

  • She was in pain and in a state of panic when she came round, mentally she was a bigger mess than even me.

To explain the context of the situation with the bare foot night walking, she was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic who has been sectioned several months earlier.  She and I got along up to a point.  The main thing we had in common was that all the other occupants of the house shunned both of us.
