Inside our Autistic Minds: Chris Packham fellow Autistic TV programme on tomorrow BBC 2 about Autism

I love how Chris Packham does not mask as much nowadays since coming out as Autistic.

He is presenting a programme on TV tomorrow on BBC 2 at 9 pm it is called "Inside Our Autistic Minds"

This is the first episode, so there will be another one next week (not sure how many they will do).

will be interesting to watch.

Tomorrows episode says it is about: "Chris helps an autistic comedian reveal to her mum what’s really going on inside her head and gives a non-speaking autistic man the chance to take his message to the world."

Would anyone like to watch this too? and then you can all maybe comment on this post and we can chat about this weeks programme.

  • Love love this programme, I gave a little cheer at the end.

I loved how Murray worked with the team to get his inner voice heard, and that was so important.

I hope everyone sees that programme, it is so very important for a step forward for us Autistics.

Everyone that appeared in the programme have did something very special, and important so that we have a step forward to being our own self, and drop the masking if we wish too. Lets hope more progress is made. xxxxxx

CHRIS PACKHAM, if YOU READ THIS. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  • Yes, that was fantastic. Proper diversity of experience shown, without skipping over anyone. I did find it exhausting though, because it made me think of one or two people I never got to disclose my diagnosis to but will now never understand why I weirded them out to the point of mistrust and running for the hills. So seeing others get that chance is simultaneously cathartic and painful. Does that make sense? I wonder did my parents watch it? If they did they may never say. They know about my diagnosis but how it’s been discussed between us is all quite intellectualised. That’s our way of navigating anything. Which is fine. That programme hit on a whole other level.

  • I suppose I’m somewhere between Chris and Flo! I ramble ceaselessly sometimes but can be of few words many other times, depending on context and numbers around. And I hate pubs and clubs too!
