Inside our Autistic Minds: Chris Packham fellow Autistic TV programme on tomorrow BBC 2 about Autism

I love how Chris Packham does not mask as much nowadays since coming out as Autistic.

He is presenting a programme on TV tomorrow on BBC 2 at 9 pm it is called "Inside Our Autistic Minds"

This is the first episode, so there will be another one next week (not sure how many they will do).

will be interesting to watch.

Tomorrows episode says it is about: "Chris helps an autistic comedian reveal to her mum what’s really going on inside her head and gives a non-speaking autistic man the chance to take his message to the world."

Would anyone like to watch this too? and then you can all maybe comment on this post and we can chat about this weeks programme.

  • I think it's understandable how they feel.  It must be incredibly difficult to have children with complex needs. It reminds me of the discussion we had on Peter's thread few weeks ago. Maybe there are different strands of autism. However in their comments they are belittling the experience of many "high functioning" people (or those without additional development/learning needs) who have massive mental health needs and are often suicidal. It's different needs for different life experiences. I wonder if the autistic people with additional needs the commenters are referring to would be able to communicate "what's going on inside their minds" for a TV show.
