DWP don't make allowances for autistic people

Does anyone else have an issue with the standard wording that the DWP use for all their communication? My adult son was very upset to be told that his benefit might be stopped if he didn't comply with the requirement to attend a job centre interview. He has been in the 'support group' since starting to receive ESA, and couldn't understand why this was changed after a review - after all, his autism and his capability to work have not changed! Luckily his mandatory consideration has now been accepted - but meanwhile he has been through a lot of stress and anxiety. The 'job coach' was very sympathetic at the interview, but the form she was filling in needed him to say something that was not true. According to DWP website, there seems to be no way of submitting this kind of complaint, as it is about being treated unfairly by the system, not by any individual.

I am finding this to be my experience more an more these days..

Car insurance is now unobtainable with out "fudging" some sort of detail, and it's been that way for about 10 years now.

Try getting a job with a strictly honest C.V. Showing the gaps in your employment, which Autism seems to bestow quite frequently.
