Special Disability Key to access public loos

This afternoon, the tenant of my new rental property - her two kids have Autism - let me have a key that her work gives to children and adults with special needs; to access public toilets.

She says that the service is usable in Great Britain; however, I forgot the name of the key.

  • Yes, I have one too, and I bought it from Amazon.  Make sure that you buy an official blue badge conpany one rather than a knock off to support the system.

I think it's actually good that you don't need to prove disability to get one, especially with waiting lists being what they are.

Technically I can use a public toilet, but it adds a lot of extra stress to a day out that I would rather avoid.  If anyone questions you about using it, just reply "Not all disabilities are visible."
