Welcome to the community Dawn. I believe you're new here and not the Dawn who posts here often. This forum has a strange bug, where more than one account can have the same username. It can be confusing at times.
If you're autistic then it's possible your mental breakdown was actually an autistic burnout. That can result in some regression and long lasting loss of function. Suddenly you seem unable to do things that you previously could and it's hard to cope with.
Life is hard and especially so when you don't have anyone to help you with things. I know I seem to be constantly battling some problem or other and increasingly struggle to function. For example a problem with a utility company or a delivery gone wrong etc and sometimes the only way to contact them is by phone. Individually the problems aren't enormous, but they can certainly seem that way when you're struggling and it is just one problem after another.
Sadly the support out there for autistic adults is non existent in many cases. I've tried and failed to find any and just try and manage on my own as best I can. I hope you find this community helps you to feel less alone.
My bad for geting the wrong Dawn - helpful to know about the username bug, thank you.
