Adult autism assessment - ADOS

Hi, my autism assessment is coming up and the assessors will be using ADOS. I have been researching and it seems as though this isn't the most helpful tool when assessing adults or females since it doesn't take masking into account. As a woman I am very worried about this!!! I'm looking for advice from anyone who has gone through the ADOS tool as an adult - how did you find it?? Thanks

    I was also socialised as female, and I asked them at the end whether the ADOS took masking into account. They said it did, but actually I really struggled to be authentic during my assessment. I didn't feel at ease, and consequently found it hard to open up or share the kind of detail I would usually give. 

    If you've been researching you may know there are some pretty weird tasks in that test. I'm blind so couldn't do all of them, (some of them involve images) but those that I did have stuck in my memory for how strange they were.
