Does autism qualify you for covid booster Jab in UK?

I too am under the age of 50 but have not received an invitation. As Oakling says, it might pay to contact your surgery (if possible). It could be that you have been invited as a result of human error, or because you are deemed to be at higher risk. 

To my knowledge you should be eligible if you have ASC.

I tried to ask about this during my visit detailed above. I was told that I needed to be on an autism list/register to be eligible. I have a diagnosis but didn’t know what they were referring to. I enquired about what this was and they simply said ‘You’d know if you were on it’ and wouldn’t elaborate any further. 

That’s what I thought. In the moment i felt quite confused and, once again, like I’d got mixed up and failed to do something properly. When I’d come away from the situation and rationalised again, I thought that the people there were probably just trying to get rid of me!

Id never heard of this list before, and as you said, it really shouldn’t be my responsibility when it’s all on my records. To avoid any more of these embarrassing situations, I’d asked for my record to be updated to not eligible if that were the case. They told me that it would be too difficult to update and that they therefore wouldn’t. Instead, I’d just have to keep checking with my drs surgery!
