I was just wondering, how long does it take for therapy once diagnosed? Because its coming up to 2 years for me now waiting and I am hearing nothing from anyone. I am going to be 39 in Jan and only got diagnosed in Feb 2021, so I feel like time is passing. I am struggling to cope with little or no support from anyone, not even the IAPT service as they won't refer me because I am on the waiting list for this. I am supposed to be getting assessed for ADHD as well but that is also a mystery. I really want to move forward in my life

Struggles growing up, struggles at school, getting attached to people and being mistreated, falling into addictive patterns of behaviour, developing interests in things which might not be common, example I am really interested in brands

Just curious. What was it that prompted you to seek a diagnosis. Seeking my own diagnosis as an oap was prompted by recounting my strange friendless life that I was in denial of.

Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. They offer counselling and CBT, none of which were helpful to me long term
