Christmas madness

I really dont understand the point of Christmas shopping. Why does everyone go out and spend loads of money they probably dont have on useless stuff that other people probably dont even want? I went to the shopping centre yesterday expecting my usual quiet Monday there looking at my bookshop and instead it was masses and masses of people charging round everywhere. I got barged and my foot got stepped on. I could hear a conversation on someones phone discussing what presents to buy and it seemed obvious that he was buying stuff he knew people wouldnt want just for the sake of it. Why? As someone who rarely understands human behaviour I really dont see the point of any of it

Its left me scared to leave the house now until Christmas is over

  • It's total madness isn't it? The month of insanity lol. I don't ever go Christmas shopping in December, nothing could make me do that. People are loud, they push and shove. Not for me that.

The day itself is ok but I just stay in my room and listen to music or watch stuff. I'm not big on the family get togethers like a lot of people are.

  • Exactly, everyone seems to become so rude over Christmas, like all manners just disappear in a frenzy of greed. The other day someone swore at my wife in the queue in Tesco in front of our kids just cos the person was Christmas shopping and in a rush
