Job interviews

I've never had a successful interview yet.

The biggest failure was on the final question, where they asked me if I had any questions.  Instead of asking something relevant, I asked what was already included  in the information pack.

Hi. My last job interview was a train crash! I'm pretty sure I managed to accidentally insult everyone on the panel. Funnily enough, I didn't get the job.

I watched a good youtube clip about us and job interviews. Will see if I can pull it out.

Be kind to yourself, interviews can be very difficult and stressful.

Face to face traditional interviews processes are typically not the best way for us autistic people to show our potential and knowledge. These processes usually do not suit our neurotype, communication style or skill set. Other alternative interviews methods such as practical tasks or competency based tests could suit some of us much better.

(hugs) ️ This happened to me at the Doctors and when I went to apply to volunteer. I stutter as well. I think it's really common for people with autism unfortunately - but there's always next time! X
