Adult son recently diagnosed with Autism

Hi

My wife and I would like to know how we can get help to enable us to better understand our 37 year old son who has recently been diagnosed with Autism. He is not the kind of person to attend groups. We would welcome links to reading material, anything really.

  • Yeah my son diagnosed at 18 which seems not too old but yes it is ..ie now he can't like your son join in and get some kind of solace from forums like this or groups where autistic people meet and the UK IS PARTICULARLY BAD  compared to other countries in fact am seriously considering leaving the country because of it. Watched a documentary in Australia where they have   lot of organised groups even for dating or just life skills all sorts of things..wish I could help but am.in same boat my son is totally isolated.
