Panic disorder and Autism

Is Panic disorder and Autism linked, if my understanding is correct,, panic disorder is an anxiety condition brought on my not having enough control, so it enduces panic attack and anxiety.

I have autism, but feell I have panic disorder too. I need to feel I have high levels of control or get anxious if control is taken away from me.

Any thoughts on this  subject ?

  • There are many conditions that appear to have some kind of link to autism (e.g. higher incidence rates of gastroenterological conditions).

    The thing to remember though is (a) that they're not necessarily causally linked, but one or both may exacerbate the other, and (b) that having one does not imply that will have, or develop the other.
