Changes in routine

Hi guys Wave I have a change in my routine now and I can’t sleep. I’ve recently started my apprenticeship (august I started so recent to me) and it took some adjustment a couple of weeks of sleeping on the sofa the tv on but I love my new job now. But with my apprenticeship as with most comes college work. I’ve been allowed to do 1 full day every other week on Wednesday. This starts this week I’ve had plenty of warning and I have told my college support but now it’s currently 1am Wednesday morning and I’m on the sofa with the tv on and a cup of hot milk haha.

how do you all cope with change in routine because I should be in bed went about 10 and I just can’t sleep

  • For me the lack of sleep that comes with change and particular events is just a fact of life. I used to read myself to sleep every night, but then we moved house and I couldn't focus on the words. My mind was just too busy to switch off and sleep.

I just accept the fact that my brain won't stop, remind myself that all my worries seen at least ten times worse after 9pm, and that I will be tired tomorrow but I will cope with it.

    But yeah, it's not fun.

The first day is always going to be the worst. The more you get used to the new routine and new experiences become common, then it will be easier.
