Confidentiality ... mis-use by a social worker?

A social worker is refusing to RECEIVE information about a vulnerable individual, who is under confidentiality.

Can they do that?

We are not requesting information from them, just sending in vital information to try and avoid a repeated trauma / breakdown.

Thank you.

  • I've had that response to trying to give information before about a vulnerable person.  They misunderstand what confidentiality means.  They can't tell us anything, we know that and we're not asking them to.  But we are just trying to give information for someone who cannot themselves.  We need no comment about what they do with it even.

    I'd try writing a letter.
