help

HI ladies and gents. was reading through the website and this sounds very much like me

  • needing extra time to process information or answer questions (in certain situations normally when things got go how i expect with ppl)
  • repeating what others say to them (echolalia)
  • find it hard to form friendships.
  • routines so that they know what is going to happen
  • Change to routine can make me very anxious
  • interests from a fairly young age
  • Anxiety in social situations or when facing change
  • difficulty recognising and regulating their emotions (in certain situations when things got go how i expect with ppl)
  • meltdown (overwhelmed by their current situation) and temporarily loses behavioural control. (Punching boxes walls ect)
  • not being able to figure out how to react how I want to, or not being able to react at all; i feel like i shut down cos i overwhelmed)
  • i can listen to the same single song on repeat for a week

but im only scoring around a 90 on that

RAADS-R Diagnostic Scale

was wonerding if there was anyone on here like this

  • That is a high enough score that you are likely autistic. We get a lower score if we are good at masking or have learned how to compensate for some of our struggles, often by using a more energy intense part of the brain. Like we have to consciously notice and learn how people's facial expressions work while NTs just know. But it is possible to learn like a foreign language, just takes more work and effort.
