25yo female looking for an ASD/ADHD diagnosis in the Manchester area

I am looking for a good and reputable organisation in the Manchester area to gain a private diagnosis. I have had a bad experience with therapists and doctors leading to no trust in anyone due to gaslighting and unprofessional behaviour and so I am weary to trust anyone with it, especially as being a female. Does anyone have any advice?

    First of all talk to your doctor. They’re more understanding than you think. I did an online autism assessment to take in and show the doctor that I warranted an assessment. I’m not sure if it’s true so don’t get mad anyone if it’s not, but I was told that sometimes a private diagnosis isn’t accepted when applying for certain benefits and help/support? I’m not 100% sure on that one but I’ve definitely been told that more than once. 

    im not sure if you have this down there but in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, we have a place called the Toby Henderson Trust who are the ones I was referred to through the NHS to them. They can do assessments and diagnosis, under the NHS. I’ve had no experience with private diagnosis but hopefully there’s something in the reply that helps you. If not, never mind.
