Coping with a big change

I just wanted some advice from everyone about how to cope with a big change. One of the biggest things with my autism is struggling very badly to cope with and process change. I can't really process it much either

Our new baby is due Friday and I am so happy about it and cant wait to meet her but I am struggling mentally with the change as its one of the biggest changes we could have in life

Has anyone got any tips or techniques for coping with big change, even good changes?

  • Hello, congratulations first of all. Happy times are ahead. I also struggle with change very badly . I recently moved home after living for 30 years in my previous house. I was dreading it, but had no choice, it was a massive house and I just couldn’t manage it. I’m now in a much smaller house and it’s brilliant! Yes it was stressful but I sort of geared myself up for the stress. And just dealt with one day at a time. You will be ok . All the best.
