Scared of the news

I've spent a LOT of my life being scared of one thing or another including nuclear war.

(I'm bloody ANGRY about nuclear war, when we protested it no-one gave a tools until times like NOW when it hangs over us like a dark shadow. It's OUR leaders having the power to kill us all on a whim, and they remind us of it every time we get a bit "complainy2 like e all are now after that covid tomfoolery, and the other many insults and ijuries OUR LEADERS keep heaping upon us).

KNOWLEDGE of a thing that frightens you reduces it's power over you.

In the case of even the lowest level of attack by the Russian side I KNOW I live just inside the fireball area of an 800Kt thermonuclear weapon.that will be delivered (under their doctrine) to my local airfield. I can't prevent that attack, (except by inciting people to rebel against the idea of "government by fear") and disentangle their lives from government and money as far as possible, thus starving the beast of YOUR input.

Don't bloody vote, it's obviously pointless, and the registration process makes you an easy target for various parasites. At least then it's YOU making your life hard, as you try to form a functioning self sufficient solid trusting family unit, of the sort that got us though hard times in times gone by, and which they DON'T want you to do any more...

It's way past time we stopped expecting someone else to make our lives work for us, and took control ourselves. But that is infinitely easier when there is a strong culture that we all live in, and we aren't allowed to have that at any price.

I'll stop here, I think I may be violating the politics rule. I'm just so incenses with the gulf between how things really work in our world and how most people have been told that they work. Nuclear war and access to "state benefits" are two of my biggest triggers and I've seen them both here today!

I simply believe that the only solution to this is prayer and in my case, it’s my Catholic faith, that has grown stronger since Covid - there will never be a political solution to any of our problems in our world today and never has been in our past either, as our grandparents generation realised, as they were firmly rooted in thier faith - only when mankind returns to God and obeys His Commandments will these problems ever be resolved, so we have to pray and trust in God’s goodness and Mercy, but we have to make the effort in our interior and prayer lives - I too have been heartbroken by the advance of evil in our world in many forms
