Career reset at 40 is not panning out as expected

Hi,

After struggling for many years in my previous I finally got a diagnosis for ADHD and high probability being on the spectrum. I did not have funds to get Autism diagnosis, but last year my  new employer paid for ASC (Autism conditions screening) by a specialist and I was diagnosed as meeting conditions of ASC.

I am 41, and last year I made a career switch joining the new company. Even though I had many years of experience, I had to start at a junior role. My employer was willing to move up to senior roles, but I failed miserably when it came to people/social/communication skills.

I am hopeless on what future holds for me. Feels like I will be stuck at this level no matter what I am good at .
