One-size-fits-all speaking - default for all autistic people

I am an autistic person myself, but I can only speak from the perspective of an Asperger / Level 1 autistic person.

The spectrum is so huge that it includes people who don't meet all the criteria to be diagnosed. These ableism commentators that call for one-size-fits-all speaking for all autistic people forget that.

That's the same as saying you can only speak on behalf of all human beings. If we were only allowed to speak on behalf of all human beings, the person from Norway would no longer be allowed to claim his right to heating, because the person in South America doesn't need it either. An old person would no longer be allowed to demand his right to retire because a child does not need one either. A woman would no longer be allowed to demand her right to sexual integrity, because a man does not need that either.

I am an individual and I want to be seen as such. There is a right of personality that is valid in Europe. That is the right that assures me to be seen as an individual.

"Everyone has the right to the free development of his personality, provided that he does not infringe the rights of others or violate the constitutional order or moral law."

Who is not of this opinion? And why?

  • While there is widespread misrepresentation of autism wiring, there is just as much on the Neurotic condition.

There is Taxonomy for the Kingdom Animalia.

There are also library shelves lined with how the Ego works. How Capitalism in a social context works. How democracies can work as a social experiment. If you find the elements which connect us all and begin to branch out from there, it can be easier to find your group and further into your own identity. Psychoanalysts would suggest most non-autistics struggle with feeling individual, arguably by a few because of what makes them uniquely non-autistic and subject to group-think.

I would suggest it is because Neurotic (non-autistic) individuals are subjected to this group-persona that they are having a difficult time working out what makes autism different. They can barely fathom being individual. Once the nuance is more clear to the public, perhaps an acceptance of varying personalities within the sub-type of Autistic-Wiring vs Non-Autistic-Wiring will be more easily understood.
