The Queens passing as a fundamental change to be assimilated

Like alot of people Queen Elizabeth was the only monarch I'd ever known.  I feel sad at her passing, and remain in awe of her carrying out duties -  ones that I could not even comprehend trying to do - for 70 years, when it was never her choice.

But I think my reaction is more about the fundamental change in the status quo.  Our country is already on very rocky ground with poor environmental choices and the escalating cost of living and I feel that this event has just tipped things over the edge for me....

I wondered if anyone else had felt that way?

I feel like I need time to think about it and understand it, work out how it will affect me (media input, conversations, future impact) before I can get on with other things again.

  • The Queen had a global impact for anyone who considered the standard she set and admired her. She was the original 'influencer' and made the effort to appear responsible for the power she held. While pageantry isn't an Autistic sport, I have come to recognise it is greatly needed by mass NTs, who might not have the same rich 'inner' life, who might not be able to make all kinds of connexions or see patterns or find wonder in the most obvious or boring of elements. There is a side to mass neurosis we could be good to mind and that is they can be a mob in need of a Scapegoat. The Monarchy is thus. The source of their problems and redemption. It sounds mysterious, but a little indulgence into psychology and wow, it's riveting. The more I've come to understand just how figureheads work with neurosis, the more gratitude I have for these individuals who really could relinquish their roles and just eff off with the money like Harry and Meghan. They don't have to keep the 500 patronages, the 600 charities, while I do take issue with some particular financial events in the last 10 years.

However, her influence and those before her (to a certain point) is best seen in how the wealthy commit a part of their income, resources and time to ward bettering the lives to others. It's clear in public spaces, gardens, galleries and libraries and other  education freely available to the public, such as not available in other countries.

Meanwhile, in true Republican form, then there's Americans like Jeff Besos and Donald Trump. Who couldn't care much but to acquire wealth at the expense of others. Let alone the standard they set. Besos only started caring about charities as of recent, spending less than a percent - one percent - of his income. Americans can have little regard (if any) for the dignity of others. A system where medical bills will leave you on the streets and Autistic kids end up mimicking the worst qualities of humans, and then being left to rot.  :(
