Mental Healthcare team looking to get second test

I struggle to talk to strangers so it's hard to tell DRs that are testing me to see if I have autism I dont know what to do if I get a second test cause I'm terrible at telling people what's wrong with me shich makes getting diagnosed difficult. I have neurological difficulties and my team think I have autism but I got discharged on the 1st test I don't have elelateral  speech that they're looking for either.

  • I would make a document that contains all your day-to-day difficulties and your history back to childhood. Have bold headings and large easily read type, if you cannot reply just point to the relevant section.

    For diagnosing adults it should be the traits and difficulties described by the person being assessed that should have greatest importance. Judging how they behave during the assessment, useful for children, should not take precedence. That people should be denied a diagnosis because they make eye contact, have a sense of humour, or can use gestures would be laughable if it were not so damaging.
