When the darkness comes

Ok, that is a very dramatic title. But, there is a reason.

I've noticed that every year, without fail, after the sunshine if the summer dwindles and then autumn sets in, so too does a SAD type depressive feeling.

My anxiety is elevated, and I start having much more negativity in my character.

Is this just SAD syndrome, or is this common amongst other Autists? I'm already very very sensitive to weather changes, so this could be an extension to that?

  • Its better to look at this the other way around in my opinion.  I look forward to early May - the days are about the right length of day and night, it's about perfect temperature and you have the promise of long days and hope of good summer weather to come.

In the meanwhile, - yes, this is a depressing and stressful time of year, made more so this year due to the geo political and resources pickle we all find ourselves in for the winter of 2022.

The good news is......its only 8 months until early May !
