The Reason I Jump is the Radio 4 Book of the Week this week.
It is written by a non-verbal autistic boy from Japan.
I have just listened to the first episode on the iPlayer and it seems excellent. All parents should be listening to this, it addresses many of the issues they are often writing in about on this forum.
Hope the rest of the episodes are as good.
Don't dismiss it if your child has Asperger's. I have Asperger's but I am very clear that I am AUTISTIC, and I recognise my autism in all other people on the spectrum, whether they have language or not. (Sorry that was not explained very well but I hope you can understand what i am trying to say there).
