Private Diagnosis

Hello

Can anyone recommend / advise how I might look to get a private diagnosis. I have a referral letter from my gp who advised that it could take up to 2 years on the NHS. I live in Manchester so if anyone can recommend somewhere that would be great. Also any ideas on cost.

Seems to start around the £1,000 mark. I was diagnosed by Psychiatry-UK ( https://psychiatry-uk.com/ ) in an online assessment by an NHS consultant psychiatrist, with specialisms in adult and childhood autism. Apart from the cost, I found the process very good in general. You can choose your diagnostician from a pool of qualified clinicians.

I think the waiting time is about 2 months at present, you do not need a GP referral, or to inform your GP of the outcome, if you do not want to.
