Dietitian for Adults

Hello,

I’m an adult with autism and I’m looking for a dietitian who has experience with working with adults on the spectrum. I have quite a restricted diet and I would like to make changes to eat healthier. I’ve tried on and off for years but I’ve never been successful in making any meaningful changes.

I would really appreciate any help or guidance to find someone who might be able to help me.

Thank you

...I don't know of one, but I would recommend you get on the waiting list for a new tailored diet app. slowly being released in the UK (already available in the US) called ZOE.

A project run by Dr Tim Spectre from Kings College (he also wrote the Diet Myth). He also runs the ZOEClap covid app in the UK that has been so successful.

Long story short, it uses a few initial tests, blood glucose monitoring, and an app to follow and tailor your diet based on your bacterial makeup inside your gut. It's very clever, and comes off the back of the biggest identical twin study in the world.

Here is a write up about it recently:

  • Hi! I can recommend Dalia: https://www.dalianutrition.com

I have been working with her since over 2 years and she is the person that picked up on me being autistic and has supported me in seeking an assessment. She has experience working with autistic individuals and she is one of the only professionals that has made a positive difference to my mental health. I also struggle with food (including only eating limited number of foods etc.) and she has been a great help.

  • I don't know if one I'm afraid, howeverMan⚕️
