To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Does anyone else get worried when they see a blue light response passing... thinking it might be for a family member just because they live/work nearby?

Yes this is a major anxiety trigger for me. If I can't calm down it can lead to meltdown. If I hear sirens I usually put music on and try to block them out and if I see it, well it's just horrible for me instant anxiety.
