Royal Mail

It has been 3 weeks since I last received any mail.
I have been complaining since September 2020 about going for weeks not receiving any mail and when I receive mail it is only the odd one or two letters. But every time I complain the problem seems to be getting worse. This is in spite of the fact that you keep promising that you will contact my local delivery manager and that the problem should get better after that.
I am expecting, at least, medical appointment letters, a letter from my insurance company and a letter from the DWP. None of these letters have been received. So I should have had quite a few letters in the last 3-weeks. Last month I had one of my bank statements posted into my neighbour's letterbox.
This has gone on for too long and is becoming a very serious matter. I will not go on not receiving a service from you for which I am legally entitled to receive. It is only a matter of time, if it has not already happened, before I miss a very important letter for which there may be consequences because I did not respond to it.
I am following Royal Mail's complaints procedure. Do you have any alternative ways in which I could address this serious issue with Royal Mail particularly if following their complaints procedure does not resolve the issue?

  • I've not had issues with Royal Mail personally, but I understand how frustrating it can be trying to deal with the complaints department of any service provider. They just don't seem to make any effort to solve the problems, even when reported to them over and over again.

The only thing I can suggest is to try and reduce your reliance on Royal Mail. Many organisations will let you opt for paperless statements and correspondence, rather than having them sent out by post. They can usually be sent to you by email or accessed by logging into your account online. The added benefit is that it's better for the environment too.

  • Hello, I am actually trying to do that at the moment while I make my complaint.
