Hi, I’m wondering if anyone here has successfully got a London Taxicard or Freedom Pass when they didn’t fully meet the automatic criteria of having enhanced PIP with 10 points for moving around, and had to have an assessment.
I recently moved to London and applied. I get the enhanced rate of PIP mobility but I only get 4 points for moving around and a further 10 for not being able to plan/undertake a journey.
When I was assessed I was told that they don’t take Autism into account at all and can’t consider anything other than your physical ability to walk.
I’d be interested to know if anyone actually got a Freedom Pass or Taxicard after an assessment as based on what they told me it is impossible.
