Dying out species

Older autistic who can imagine music without singing are dying out,

if there is anybody else there please help me and say I ddo

younger generation do not even call it music and singing, and there is no music without singing in their minds

music + singing = opera !!!!

  • Well, the rave generation (until recently they were the young folk) were pretty much entirely into tunes without words.

    And throughout history, popular music was ballads and songs, and then the intelligentsia liked their chamber music.

    But at this point in history, the zeitgeist is all about the lower level feelings and ideas, presented as baldly as possible, so the music is taking a bit of a back seat to the "messages" it is being misused as a vehicle for...

  • It's strange to think about words in music sometimes. A linguistic barrier to some in something that can otherwise be universally understood. Of course, the barrier dissolves too when the words themselves become notes devoid of specific abstract concepts - they are another instrument in the orchestra so to, er, speak.
