Newly Diagnosed

I had my autism assessment today which was SUCH a validating experience! I was diagnosed with passive autism and formal stilted autism. Can anyone explain what these types are, or point me in the direction of more information?

I had to Google this myself. They are Lorna wing ‘types’…..apparently

Oh okay I'll have a look at that! Tbh, I was just so relieved to receive the diagnosis as it's something I've known for a while but to have it diagnosed felt so validating

Interesting. Kudos to Dr Wing for getting that Kanner's or 'Classic' autism, and Asperger's are different presentations of the same thing. Deep respect to her legacy.

Maybe these are old terms for 'high functioning' ?
