What should I do while I wait?

Hello,

I am not exactly an adult, but I have been waiting for my ASD assessment since 2020.  I love to learn, especially about subjects like autism, although I have not looked up signs of autism yet as I don’t want to accidentally tamper with the results.  This has been very difficult for me, and I am not sure how much longer I can wait before looking up information on the topic of ASD.  Has anyone here been in the position before, and if so, how did you deal with it?

Thanks,

Jewels

  • I was in that situation.

I took an onlne test and when it indicated I was quite a high scorer, then I focussed on getting my formal assessment done, but did no other research. I was content to wait until my status was confirmed THEN research the heck out of it!

If I had not tested highly, then I would have continued along the path I was on.
