  • If you use the Edge browser, you can force dark mode on websites:

If you put  in the address  Edge://flags then it should give you some options, one is auto dark mode - if you enable that and click the restart button then it should work.  It might not always work on every page or site, but it works here.

I was having difficulty seeing the mouse cursor as its white cursor on grey background, so now its dark mode its more obvious/clear.

  • oh, I'm on chromebook using google chrome browser.  I know they had extensions in the past for instagram to force that into dark mode but it broke.  would just be great for the accessibility to be built in you know?! vivid, calm and dark. thanks for your suggestion though :)

  • I haven't got a chromebook, but have chrome browser on my PC, its similar

    Use address: chrome://flags

Search for 'dark' and enable auto dark mode, then click the Relaunch button

The NAS vivid and calm options still work, so you get 'vivid dark' or 'calm dark', but yes, it would help if all browsers had a simple way to switch dark, calm, vivid or even set it per website perhaps.

  • OMG, my life just got so much better.  Thank you!
