I'm new here!

Hello everyone.

I was only diagnosed 3 days ago at the age of 27. As much as the diagnosis definitely explains my behaviours, I feel a little more lost than ever in trying to find my footing and processing all this new information!

I just wanted to put the feelers at there to see who interacts with my post & a possibility of developing new friendships.

  • Hi Sophie,

I was diagnosed on Tuesday. I turned 30 in April. For me it has definately been a relief to finally have an explanation, but I understand why you feel lost. My whole life has been me trying to work out who I am and now its almost like starting over in the right direction.

Personally I have found it a bit up and down so far, but overall I think its positive and I am enjoying all the research I get to occupy myself with now.

  • Hey Sam

It's been a very recent discovery as before 2022 I didn't really have an inkling I was 'different'. I just assumed everyone thought the same way I did. In hind sight its probably why I would get so frustrated when people didn't act/think the same as me! It's definitely the start of a long journey into figuring myself out. I'm also always keen to read/look at more research if you're happy to ever share
