Hi guys,.  I’m not going to go into detail unless needed.

I’ve been employed at my current job for 10yrs. 

I was promised my own work station when I returned to work after playing god with my own life. I already had my own machine but now it was official. I’m medically diagnosed ASD OCD and have hi standards. Me getting put on another machine cleaning up after other staff can destroy me.

I was asked to go onto another machine due to lack of staff. This was fine but then all opportunities for me to go back on my machine got dismissed, after a few days I asked another boss if I could go back on my machine due to anxiety, she told me it wasn’t my machine. 

this made me I’ll and I’ve just took 10days off and now asked not to be put on a machine and I’m not on a machine.. nobody has asked me why..

basically I’m going to leave my job that I love, enjoy and NEED to keep me busy, because I refuse to clean up and run other machines that are destroyed and make all sorts of noises.

who would I ask to speak to work on my behalf?

  • Depending on what your line of work is working on one machine may or may not be a reasonable adjustment. But you should get any adjustment that is made in writing if posable. Has anything been arranged with occupational health? Have you had contact with your employers occupational health team? You should do so if you've not.
