hospitality as an autistic

I've just done a shift in a restaurant and one as a bartender at a pub -- I feel like I'm so awkward and slow. Like really slow and just lacking in common sense. And I say so many stupid things all the time, and ask questions that are really obvious or have already been explained to me. Ahhhh!! It's so stressful.

I’m sure it’s not as bad as you think! I always think everyone’s judging me but most of the time there not. And it’s better to ask then just guess and hope for the best.

I agree with UltraViolet - we often focus so much on our own insecurities and we’re often doing better than we think we are. You’ve only just started in this work and you’re bound to have a bit of nervousness at the beginning. I’m sure you’ll build your confidence as time goes on and you get used to it. Good luck!
