Hi everyone,
I am 24M, recently diagnosed as autistic and moved to the UK. I had a lot of problems with depression, anxiety etc. along with the social difficulties of autism. However, I have managed to get most of the depression and anxiety under control.
At this point, I am struggling to sort of understand who I am? in the sense of what I like doing, what I do for fun, etc. As I've seen, NTs mostly pick up hobbies from other people, and one of their biggest things to do with free time is socialize anyway. Since making friends isn't really working out to well for me, I'd like to understand how you - particularly those who are young adults or overcame mental issues which were holding them back - went about figuring yourself out, doing things by yourself, finding things you like doing and getting new experiences etc. I am finding my life extremely boring, and now that my mental health is better I want to start doing more but I've been 'stuck' at this stage for a few months now.
