Question if there are socially acceptable ways to show repetitive behaviors

What are more society acceptable way to show repetitive behaviors if I need the argue to stimulate myself?

Because when I show abnormal and intense repetitive behaviors to deal with stress and motor issues on my hands, my classmate who is also in special education, kept asking if I was okay, and I was about to tell him that I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and tell him to *** and go away.

What should I have done so that situation doesn't happen again?

  • Can you go for a walk when stressed? Get a fidget spinner? Sit in the back of the room with bounce your foot.

Movement is human and animal. It is planetary. But when I'm focusing a ticking clock or leaking faucet can be irritating. It's OK to stay I'm stressed, I'm autistic. But is there a way to alleviate the thing which is causing stress? If it's a room with no natural lighting and just fluorescents, this seems unreasonable and I'd ask for a more humane location.
