Sensory problems

  1. Food
  2. hot and cold
  3. pain

my 6 year old has just been diagnosed.
she only eats a beige diet.
she can dislocate joints as she is hyper mobile  and doesn’t cry. Or complain.

how do I get around to getting he assessed for sensory processing disorder. And how do I get the school to understand my concerns.

she can odour of school with her cardigan on red faced and hot.

she came home yesterday with a graze on her knee and was told this morning that she did cry.  (She would as there was blood). It wouldn’t be because pain only the blood. Or Masking as she does this.

what do I do.  One frustrated parent!

  • I have big food issues too. Wont eat anything that is a leaf, or is green (apart from peas) and I hate unprocessed meat due to inconsistent texture. There are a few things that i started to eat later in childhood, and we are talking of the blad diet of the 1970's, thank god we have moved on. All I can suggest is encouragement to try new things occasionally?
