NHS right to choose question

Hiya,

I am on the waiting list in the south west Bristol for an assessment with BASS. I have not heard very good things about BASS and have been advised to go down the right to choose route To pick a different provider.

does any one have any experience with this? or any advice before considering this?

  • I went through the NHS route for my autism diagnosis it took six years,

    I went through Right to choose for my ADHD assessment after being on and lost on the NHS waiting list for over a decade. i decided to go through right to choose. It was quicker and only waited less than a year. my consultation was over webcam and only 30 minutes' which worries me. but he diagnosed me with ADHD and referred me to the medication team. I only had one provider and that was psychiatry-UK and getting a GP to refer me to them was the major challenged.
